SUBJECT: Request for Deletion of Personal Data Under Article 17 GDPR
Dear Sir/Madam,
Under Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), I, [Your Name], residing at [City], hereby request that you delete all personal data you process about me as soon as possible, and at the latest within one month of receiving this request.
This concerns all personal data you have collected about me, including — but not limited to — my name, address, phone number, email address, and other identifiable data.
If you have disclosed my data to third parties, you are obligated under Article 19 GDPR to inform those third parties about my deletion request.
Article 17(1) of the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) gives individuals the right to request the controller to erase personal data concerning them without undue delay.
Under Article 12(6) GDPR, the controller must respond to the request without undue delay and at the latest within one month.
If you believe I am not entitled to this request, please inform me within one month with a motivated response, specifying the legal basis that justifies your continued processing.
I would like to inform you that, if you do not comply with this request, I may contact the relevant supervisory authority and/or other competent authorities.
I request that you send a confirmation to the reply address of this request, indicating what actions you have taken.
If you believe that deletion is not possible under Article 17(3) GDPR, please demonstrate this to me within one month with a motivated response.
I would like to inform you that, if you do not comply with this request, I may contact the relevant supervisory authority and/or other competent authorities. Filing a complaint with the supervisory authority is free of charge.
